Cookie Policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how AXW Studio (“AXW”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website.
It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we collect, use and protect personal information.
If you have any questions about our use of cookies or your privacy, contact us at info@axwstudio.co.uk.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files that websites can store on your computer, phone, tablet or other device. They can help websites work correctly, remember preferences, understand how visitors use a website and measure the effectiveness of advertising.
Similar technologies can perform the same or related functions, including:
- pixels
- local storage
- scripts and tags
- browser identifiers
- tracking technologies provided by third-party services
When we refer to “cookies” in this policy, we also include these similar technologies where appropriate.
How AXW uses cookies
We may use cookies for the following purposes:
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies and technologies are required for the website to operate correctly or to provide a feature you have requested.
They may be used for purposes such as:
- website security
- remembering your cookie preferences
- maintaining sessions
- processing forms
- enabling requested website functionality
- preventing misuse or technical errors
Because these technologies are necessary for the operation of the website or a service you have requested, they may operate without optional cookie consent where permitted by law.
Functional cookies
Functional technologies allow additional website features to work and can remember choices you make.
These may include functionality provided by services such as Gymcatch or MailerLite.
Depending on the feature and how it is implemented, these technologies may only be activated after you interact with the feature or provide the appropriate cookie preference.
Analytics cookies
We use analytics to understand how people use the AXW website. This can include information such as:
- which pages are visited
- how visitors move through the website
- how long visitors spend on pages
- approximate traffic volumes
- device and browser types
- how visitors arrived at the website
- interactions with website features
We use this information to understand website performance and improve the experience for visitors.
Marketing cookies
Marketing technologies help us understand the effectiveness of our advertising and may allow us to show more relevant advertising to people who have previously interacted with AXW.
These technologies can recognise a browser or device and may allow activity on the AXW website to be associated with advertising platforms.
Marketing technologies are not required for the website to function.
Services we use
The following services may place cookies, access information stored on your device, or receive information generated through your use of the AXW website.

Cookie names, durations and functionality can change when third-party providers update their services.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to help us understand how the AXW website is being used.
Google Analytics may collect information including pages viewed, website interactions, device information, browser information, approximate location derived from network information and how visitors reached the website.
Common Google Analytics cookies include:
| Cookie | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga |
Distinguishes website visitors for analytics purposes | Up to 2 years |
_ga_<ID> |
Maintains analytics session information | Up to 2 years |
Google Analytics data is used to help us measure and improve the website.
We do not use Google Analytics because it is necessary for the website to function. Where our cookie controls require a preference for analytics, Google Analytics will not be activated unless the relevant choice has been made.
Meta Pixel
We use the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, to help measure the effectiveness of AXW advertising on platforms including Facebook and Instagram.
The Meta Pixel can record actions taken on our website, such as visiting particular pages or completing selected actions. This helps us understand whether advertising has resulted in visits or conversions and may allow Meta to provide advertising and measurement services.
Meta technologies may use identifiers including:
_fbp_fbc, where applicable
Meta may combine information received through its business tools with information it already holds in accordance with its own privacy policies and the settings associated with a visitor’s Meta account.
The Meta Pixel is a marketing technology and is not required for the AXW website to operate.
Gymcatch
AXW uses Gymcatch to provide class booking, timetable and related studio services.
When Gymcatch functionality is embedded within the AXW website, or when you choose to access Gymcatch services, Gymcatch may use cookies, local storage, pixels or similar technologies.
These may be used to:
- provide booking functionality
- maintain user sessions
- remember login choices
- enable features
- understand use of the Gymcatch service
- support security
- measure and improve its services
Some Gymcatch services may open on a Gymcatch website or application rather than on the AXW website. When using those services, Gymcatch’s own privacy and cookie terms also apply.
MailerLite
AXW uses MailerLite to manage email subscriptions and marketing communications.
Where MailerLite forms or scripts are used on the website, MailerLite may use cookies or browser storage to operate those forms and remember interactions with them.
Depending on the form being used, technologies can include identifiers such as:
mailerlite:webform:shownmailerlite:session_idmailerlite:forms:submitted:[ID]
These can be used to remember whether a form has already been displayed, maintain a form session or recognise that a particular form has already been submitted.
Where an AXW form communicates with MailerLite directly through our website rather than loading a MailerLite form in your browser, MailerLite cookies may not be placed on your device.
Signing up to AXW emails is optional. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe option included in our emails.
Instagram and other embedded content
The AXW website may display content or links from third-party platforms such as Instagram.
Third-party content can sometimes communicate directly with the provider when it is loaded or interacted with. The provider may consequently receive information such as your IP address, browser details or information about your interaction with the content.
Where third-party content uses non-essential tracking technologies, we aim to respect the cookie preferences you have selected.
Once you follow a link to another website or service, that provider’s own privacy and cookie policies apply.
Managing your cookie preferences
When you first visit the AXW website, you may be given controls allowing you to choose which optional cookies or technologies you are willing to allow.
You can change your choices at any time using the Cookie Settings option available on the website.
Rejecting optional cookies will not prevent you from accessing the main AXW website. Some optional or third-party functionality may, however, work differently or require you to open the relevant third-party service directly.
You can also control or delete cookies using your browser settings. Browser controls vary, so refer to the privacy or cookie settings within your browser for further information.
Deleting cookies may also remove your saved cookie preference, meaning we may need to ask for your choice again.
Third-party services
Some of the technologies described in this policy are provided by other organisations.
Third-party providers control aspects of how their technologies operate and may change their cookie names, storage periods or technical processes from time to time.
Providers such as Google, Meta, Gymcatch and MailerLite have their own privacy and cookie information explaining how they process information received through their services.
Some of these providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where personal information is involved, the handling of that information is also covered by our Privacy Policy and the relevant provider’s privacy information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when:
- we introduce or remove website services
- our use of cookies or tracking technologies changes
- a third-party provider changes its technology
- relevant laws or regulatory guidance change
The date at the top of this page shows when the policy was most recently updated.
